Introduction
Welcome to my website,
I am so glad that you have come by. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to you, my name is Brenda, and I am a passionate disciple of Jesus Christ.
I have had the privilege of getting to know our Lord Jesus Christ over the last 20 or so years. There were many times when I chose to ignore him, and tried to live my life the way that I wanted to, but I found that that only brought a lot of grief, heartache and disappointment into my life.
Through the years, the Holy Spirit has been active in teaching me a new way of living and looking at life. It is out of this intensive time of continuous learning and growing that I believe God has taught me some very valuable lessons. It is these lessons that I now want to share with you.
Lessons on: self esteem, godliness, hope, fear, despair, hopelessness, failure, feelings of inadequacy, and rejection, faith, joy, power, prayer, a sound mind and a peaceful heart.
Friendship, family, child rearing and marriage, and of course the most important lesson of all, what it means to have a heart that is fully devoted to God and his will for your life. To name but a few.
I am a firm believer that the bible is the absolute authority for the believer’s life, I also believe that if I want to live a life that truly impacts the world around me, I need to be willing to submit my heart (spirit), mind and body to it’s wise teachings.
I believe that learning to walk in reverent fear of the lord will bring life to my existence here on this earth, and will give me the wisdom that I need to handle all of the situations that I may encounter.
Pro 9:10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Pro 10:27 The fear of the LORD adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.
There have been many scriptures that have dramatically impacted my life over the years and throughout the various articles you will encounter them, but I think the one that has impacted me the most is found in Ephesians 1.
Ephesians 1:4, 13,14
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves…
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
As believers in Christ Jesus, we have been chosen by God before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless before God. Do you even understand what that means, it means that God has removed our sins from us and no longer holds it against us.
That my friend is the best news anyone could hear. We are free in Christ Jesus. He has also given us the gift of the Holy Spirit, to help teach and guide us throughout our life time.
I would like to encourage you to take this journey with me and discover for yourself the great wonders of Jesus Christ, and I pray that you will develop within you, a heart that is completely devoted to Him and you will discover the wonders of learning to be led by His precious Holy Spirit.
I pray that you may be encouraged by what you read and that you would grow in the knowledge of our lord Jesus Christ always.
You’re Sister in Christ
Brenda
Thanks for your newsletter #12 Brenda. I’ve been studying Romans, chapter 6, and am so glad that we can live our life under grace so that sin can no longer control us. More and more I am listening to the Holy Spirit and not allowing sin to reign in my body and obeying its lusts. I want my eyes, ears, mouth, hands, and feet to be instruments of righteousness to God.
I enjoy reading your articles. You have a gift of making God’s Word come alive and relevant in our culture today. Your Brother in Christ, Richard.
I want to thank you Richard for your encouraging words, you have blessed me so much today, you have no idea!
I praise the lord that you are a man who is seeking to be obedient to the Holy Spirit, to put to death the things of the flesh and to be led by Him in all things. I pray that as you do that, that God will expand you, that he will work in and through you as you impact those around you.
God bless you
Your sister in Christ
Brenda
As it says in Hebrews 3:13 ~ Encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “today”, so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin,
GOD BLESS YOU .you are doing good work for HIS ministry.
Thank you Pastor
I love it that as we all work together, we are able to Glorify God and do what he has called us to, to go and make disciples, and sharing his love with those around us.
Blessings to you
Dear Brenda,
Thank you for your comment on one of our more recent posts (An Expression of Faith). We are Blessed by all who visit BB.cm (www.BlessedBooks.com). So, what a Spiritual uplift to receive your comment today. We know as believers that our paths will cross the paths of others who are led by His Truth (Psalm 25:4-5). These “intersectons” of our Spirits always lead to a deepening of our Spiritual Awareness of our Lord. You have a Spiritually beautiful and rewarding website. We sincerely look forward to following your path so as to further our Christian Walk as well. Blessings always, edd
